Multiple Sclerosis is a autoimmune demyelinating disorder of central nervous system ( Brain and spinal cord). Symptoms include weakness of limbs, reduced vision, speech disturbances, imbalance while walking, numbness of limbs, bladder disturbances. It affects young population ( 20- 40 yrs old). Disease is disabling and pt may become bed ridden. Most common type is relapsing remitting where there are episodic attacks of neurological deficit and in between there are periods of remission lasting for months to years.
